Let’s just get the whole “we told you so” thing out of the way. Not to be immodest, I’ll also admit that we were wrong about a show or two off of that same list. The Playboy Club had low ratings and regardless of how new and sexy the show may have advertised itself as, Mad Men already set standard for 60s themed television. And this show fell short of that, both in ratings and writing.
If there are any Playboy Club fans out there, take solace in the fact that the other new drama set in the 60s that you probably haven’t been watching, Pan Am, isn’t doing so hot either.
To be honest, Sean Maher (Firefly) was the only reason I even watched the pilot, but regardless…R.I.P. Bunnies
