previously on revenge: justice
While waiting to find out if Daniel will be cleared of all charges following Lee’s “suicide” and “confession”, Emily begins to gather information about the day her father was killed. While visiting Charlotte she is given a photograph of David in prison. The photo is from the day he was killed and shows him writing in a journal which Emily doesn’t have. She calls Nolan to find out what happened to the journal and walks into his office just as he is stashing the journal. She tells him to stay out of it.
Looking through the journal Emily finds the initials CM and hunts down the person who belongs to the initials. She finds a shotgun toting woman, also known as Nolan’s Aunt. They fill Emily in on yet another missing piece of this super complicated puzzle. Emily takes the information she is given and comes to the conclusion that she will kill the man who Conrad hired to murder her father. Nolan seems shocked by her conclusion.
Over at the Grayson Manor, Daniel is released from prison, though the press still seems to be hungry for his blood. Emily suggests an interview, which everyone decides is a good idea. Queen Victoria is plotting against Conrad by going to the FBI. They plan to do a formal investigation of Grayson Global. Conrad is stewing over all this when Daniel comes into his office. At Emily’s nudging, and Jack’s suggestive comments, Daniel starts questioning Conrad, who tells him everything while Emily overhears. During his press interview Emily is hopeful that Daniel will come clean, but he doesn’t. Her disappointment comes in the form of fury and more motivation for vengeance.
Ashley who was going to be hired by Brooks gets a job with Grayson Global. And Charlotte, who is still pill popping, gets ratted out by Declan. She tells him to forget about his tuition money, but Nolan kindly steps in. Queen Victoria is worried about Charlotte’s pill popping and getting suspended so she tries to connect with her over and tell her more about David Clarke.
