When a Tree Falls

How good do I look from this angle?
When Cam finds out that the tree that has been such a part of Lily’s childhood is about to be chopped down he knows he must take a stand or risk losing that piece of her life. Cam’s quest falls short when he is called in as the understudy. He pleads with Mitchell to take his place in the tree. Mitchell, frustrated with always finishing everything Cam starts hesitates at first. But eventually he climbs up and sits in the tree until Cam returns from his debut in cats and assumes his post, still in costume. Victory is theirs.
Alex is on a mission to snap a bad picture of Haley ever since Haley got a really bad one of her that was posted on Facebook. With Haley starting her community service, Alex deems this to be the perfect time for revenge. Unfortunately for her the elements are not in her favor and she ends up splattered in mud with her phone down the sewer. Even more unfortunate, Haley snaps a picture of that moment and posts it on Facebook.
Jay and Phil take Manny and Luke to an Olympic-themed birthday party. Jay is hesitant to stay because he doesn’t think he’ll have much in common with the other dads, but he soon finds that entertaining them with embarrassing Phil stories makes him one of the guys.
Best/Funniest Moments
- Cam in the tree dressed as a cat. That is the best moment of the whole episode and only one worth noting.

Phil: Exactly, be creative.

Diamond in The Rough

I wonder how much I can get for these two….
Cam and Claire are building a baseball field for Manny and Luke’s baseball team. They work so well together that when they come across a run-down old house that’s being sold on the cheap, they pitch the idea to buy and flip it to Mitchell and Phil. Practical thinkers that they are, both want to say no. Unfortunately for Mitchell, Phil makes it seem as though he’s is the only one saying no. The two go back and forth double-crossing each other until it finally gets out that neither Phil or Mitchell want this house. Until they see how good the baseball looks. And the four buy the house.
Jay is getting tired of hearing Gloria sing to the baby, since her voice is terrible. He finally tells her how bad it is and since they’ve pledged not to fight in front of the baby, she cannot yell at him. But Gloria shows him, by singing the Star-Spangled Banner at the baseball game. Seriously though, she cannot sing.
Best Moments
- Hearing Gloria screech, I mean sing, for the first time
- Phil and Mitchell scheming via the group text between all four of them
Quotes
Phil: Yeah I was pretty ticked off that Mitchell double crossed my double cross.
Phil: That’s the funny thing about marriage, you fall in love with this extraordinary person and over time they begin to seem ordinary. I think it’s all the nagging.
Mitchell: How’re you gonna cheerlead your way out of this one Buffy?
Jay: Papa would buy ten diamond rings to get that mockingbird to shut up.
